Fleet Coaching

WCC receives funding from a number of programs that allows them to provide fleet coaching to members. What this means varies from organization to organization, but WCC has helped members assess and develop strategies for deploying domestic alternative fuels and money-saving technologies. We will work with your designated personnel to assess your current situation, operational requirements, fuel costs, and return on investment goals, to find the appropriate fuel strategy that may best meet your fleet needs while minimizing fuel and operating costs. Once we establish a benchmark of your organization’s emissions, we can help design a plan for you to reduce them while staying within your operational budget. We can also provide organizations with the public recognition they deserve for making strides to reduce pollution and lower operating costs for stakeholders. WCC helps organizations to electrify their fleets, supply electric charging to customers and employees. (These efforts also increase property value while allowing for tax credits.) To do this, WCC educates organizations on how to acquire a free or low-cost audit so that they have a general understanding of where a charger is best installed, at what cost, the time frame, and learn what funding opportunities are available to offset expenses.  We also provide organizations with the public recognition they deserve for making strides to expand electrification access and reduce emissions. We can do this in numerous ways: via our own platforms, awards ceremonies, or by organizing a public event and inviting our media contacts. C2C embraces community-led innovation by providing customized assistance across key sectors, including renewable power, grid infrastructure, mobility solutions, and building efficiency. This can be materialized in the form of in-depth partnerships, peer-learning cohorts, or through matching your organization with an expert.

Fleets in the Wisconsin Smart Fleet program go through a three step process: data gathering, fleet analysis, and culminating with a report on recommendations and ratings. The report is intended to be used as a planning tool by the fleet manager and will outline suggested methods and strategies specific to each fleet to further reduce fuel costs, petroleum usage and greenhouse gas emissions.

Launched in 2004, SmartWay is a U.S. EPA program that reduces transportation-related emissions by creating incentives to improve supply chain fuel efficiency. Wisconsin Clean Cities supports SmartWay’s efforts by promoting idle reduction and fuel efficiency methods and technologies. Wisconsin Clean Cities also assists the SmartWay program by partnering with fleets in order to aid them in their fuel-reduction efforts.
